Biography

A bubbly personality and a thick Cornish accent, Sam Snell also brings a real desire to succeed in the 13-player code with the Choughs.

Raised in the east of Cornwall, the 31-year-old dipped his toe into rugby league waters previously whilst serving in the forces, along with appearances for Cornish side Saltash Essayons and the Cornwall county side too.

The bulk of his rugby career has been playing union however with Snell’s clubs including Launceston, Brixham and Okehampton.

Snell caught Cornwall head coach Neil Kelly’s eye in the club’s recent open player trial and subsequently agreed terms for 2022.
