Bustling back rower Nathan Cullen has added strength and depth to the Choughs’ forward division after joining the club on a permanent basis last October.
The 19-year-old moves to the Memorial Ground after spending the past three years in the academy and reserve set ups at Super League outfit Hull Kingston Rovers.
Cullen cut his formative rugby teeth with the Cottingham Tigers and in 2019 joined the Robins. A regular with the Craven Park second string in 2022, Cullen signed for Cornwall on a season-long loan and in a productive debut against Keighley Cougars, scored his first senior try in a 56-12 reverse.
Hull born, Cullen would feature regularly for the Choughs during the second half of last term. He was part of the team that picked up the club’s first ever professional win when West Wales Raiders were defeated 24-4 in June.
Cullen finished the campaign strongly and scored the last of Cornwall’s five tries in a spirited 42-26 away reverse at Midlands Hurricanes on the final day of regular League 1 competition.
