Biography
The 21-year-old full back was one of the Choughs’ stand out performers in this, the club’s maiden professional season.
Whitton joined Cornwall from Championship side Halifax last February and marked his first start for the club with a stunning try in a 62-22 defeat at North Wales Crusaders.
A graduate from the academy set-up at Super League giants Leeds Rhinos, Whitton scored seven tries for Cornwall in 2022.
Whitton cut his formative rugby league teeth with his local National Conference League side Siddal, the source of many professional rugby league players over the years.
Born in Halifax, Whitton was voted Supporters’ Player of the Year by Cornwall fans in 2022.
