Squad News – Aaron Jones Bishop
May 5, 2023
Cornwall RLFC can confirm that Aaron Jones-Bishop has left the club.
The 33-year-old joined the Choughs from Hunslet last June and made 11 appearances in 2022. He crossed the whitewash four times and this included a try on his debut against London Skolars.
Jones-Bishop made history for Cornwall last October when he became the club’s first ever international when he represented Jamaica at the Rugby League World Cup. In Leeds, the city of his birth, Jones-Bishop came off the interchange bench as the Reggae Warriors were defeated by Ireland at Headingley in their World Cup bow.
After re-signing for Cornwall during the off season, Jones-Bishop suffered a knee injury in training and didn’t make a competitive appearance for the side before his departure.
All at the Memorial Ground thank Aaron for his endeavours wearing gold and black and we wish him well for the future.
