Cornwall RLFC head coach Mike Abbott has named his 21-man squad for Sunday’s Betfred League 1 rouynd eight clash away to Rochdale Hornets – 3.00pm.

The squad announcement is brought to you by Loganair, the club’s official airline partner. 

The Choughs are still looking for a first win of 2024, while the Hornets will want to bounce back from a narrow home reverse at the hands of promotion chasers Keighley Cougars last time out.

Cornwall’s new loan signing Courage Mkuhlani goes straight into Abbott’s travelling party, after joining for a month from the Choughs’ divisional rivals Midlands Hurricanes.

Also, up front, Cornwall are boosted by the return of Harry Boots, who has sat out the past two matches owing to a head injury.

However, the inclusion of Boots and Mkuhlani is tempered by injuries ruling out both Matt Ross and Chris Bannister.

Elsewhere, George Mitchell and Liam O’Callaghan are unavailable, but captain Adam Rusling has made Cornwall’s game squad and will be pushing for inclusion.

Nathan Cullen is in the same boat as his former Hull Kingston Rovers team mate Rusling, with the second row battling back to full fitness and he could feature at Spotland.
