Cornwall RLFC hosted a touch rugby curtain raiser before yesterday’s Betfred League 1 clash against Swinton Lions.

Rivals Truro Trojans and the Falmouth Raptors faced off for local bragging rights with the latter edging the final score 5-4.

The game ebbed one way then the other with both mixed teams contributing fully to an end-to-end spectacle. 

Touch rugby is a minimal contact sport that is growing in popularity throughout the Duchy and the Choughs are proud to support its development.

It is hoped that the next stage in touch rugby’s journey in Cornwall will see the formation of a mini-league with both of yesterday’s competitors with FXU Raiders and the Hedgehogs taking part.
