Cornwall RLFC have completed the permanent signing of Ewan Badham from Betfred League 1 rivals Rochdale Hornets.

Welshman Badham, who joins his twin brother Ieuan at the Memorial Ground, has enjoyed loan spells with the Choughs from the Spotland outfit, but will now remain in the Duchy until the end of the 2023 campaign.

Like his brother, Badham has previously spent time with Hull FC and last year turned out for the now defunct West Wales Raiders.

He moved to Spotland over the close season, but joined Cornwall on loan in April and impressed with a number of powerful performances in the Choughs’ pack.

“Bads has given us great options in the middle of the field,” head coach Mike Abbott told

“We’ve been short in the middle this year due to injuries and other factors but both Ewan and his brother have been great for us in attack and defence. I’m glad that we’ve got a permanent deal for Ewan all sorted and we thank Gary Thornton at Rochdale for getting this over the line.”
