Oldham – The Last Time

Cornwall face Sturat Littler’s Oldham at Whitebank tomorrow (Sunday) as Betfred League 1 enters its seventh round.

The last time the two teams met, Cornwall welcomed the three Rugby League World Cup trophies the Duchy.

After visiting Land’s End, St Michael’s Mount and the Eden Project 48 hours before the game, the trophies then spent a day in Truro on Lemon Quay.

For the visit of Oldham, another bumper four-figure crowd had their chance to see the trophies before Cornwall faced the play-off chasing Roughyeds

Match Report

Cornwall dominated the early exchanges but crucially, could only score 12 points when their early endeavours warranted at least double that tally.

A try just before the break cut the arrears and after half time, Oldham scored 26 unanswered points to prevail 32-12.
