Matchday Guide – Keighley Cougars

June 8, 2022

Cornwall celebrate against London Skolars – Colin Bradbury/Cornwall Sports Media

Cornwall RLFC welcome table topping Keighley Cougars to the Memorial Ground on Sunday 1.00pm.

This Betfred League 1 round 11 clash will see Neil Kelly’s Choughs reach the midway point of their maiden professional campaign.

Last Saturday at the Mem, Cornwall received tremendous backing from home supporters and the team know it will be no different against the Cougars.

Tickets for the match are available now with all of Cornwall behind the Choughs as we establish ourselves as professional rugby league’s newest entity.

For Keighley, they will be eyeing a 10th consecutive League 1 triumph and they defeated fellow promotion hopefuls North Wales Crusaders last time out. Rhys Lovergrove’s men are now the only side in the division with a perfect 100 per cent record.

While the Cougars were marching on in Colwyn Bay last Saturday, Cornwall were coming up agonisingly short against London Skolars as the Choughs went down to a narrow 24-20 defeat.

With Kelly’s troops showing real signs of improvement last time out and Keighley not wanting to lose their winning streak, the stakes are high for both sides.

Tickets for this not-to-be-missed match are on sale now and can be obtained by clicking here
