Matchday Guide – Doncaster
April 7, 2023
Doncaster make their second trip to Cornwall and in a quirky twist of fate, provide Mike Abbott’s side with Easter Saturday opposition for the second year in succession.
For 2022, the Easter game took place at the Eco-Power Stadium with Cornwall defeated 52-16. However, the Choughs, playing just a third professional game, showed real signs of promise with Jake Lloyd, Joe Burton and Jayden Myers crossing the whitewash.
Doncaster would complete the double over Cornwall with a 44-10 victory at the Mem in July but for a second season in succession, the Dons were defeated in the play-off final – losing 16-12 to Swinton Lions.
This term, Doncaster have picked up three consecutive league wins over Workington Town, Midlands Hurricanes and North Wales Crusaders.
Last time out, Doncaster were defeated 66-16 by London Broncos in round four of the Betfred Challenge Cup.
