Cornwall RLFC head coach Mike Abbott has named his 21-man squad for Sunday’s Betfred League 1 round 19 clash away to Rochdale Hornets – 3.00pm.

The Choughs come into this latest league encounter full of confidence after a 44-34 win over basement dwellers Newcastle Thunder at the Gateshead International Stadium, last time out.

For Rochdale, they narrowly lost 14-10 at Spotland to promotion chasing Oldham in a thrilling encounter, played out in front a bumper crowd.

This will be the third time that Cornwall and Rochdale have locked horns this season with the Hornets prevailing on both occasions.

However, Cornwall had had more than their fair share of moments in matches between the two sides this season.

At Spotland back in May, Cornwall were ahead on the scoreboard and in the game until Morgan Punchard was controversially sent off for an alleged, but inconclusive offence of punching.

And then at the Mem in June, Cornwall were very much in the game until a Cameron Brown try was disallowed for offside. Rochdale went straight up the other end to score from a dubious looking final pass to prevail.

Cornwall chief Abbott is without the unavailable Coby Nichol, but this is tempered by a recall for Aaron Small.

Tomo Clark drops out of the 21 as he has signed on dual registration forms with Wests Warriors.

Meanwhile, Bradford loan duo Jamie Gill and Jacob Bateman are both included after signing on a temporary basis from the Bulls until the end of the campaign.
