Last Time We Met – Midlands Hurricanes

Cornwall start the new campaign how the last one ended with a trip to fellow non-heartland club Midlands Hurricanes.
The Choughs were defeated 42-26 at the Hurricanes’ former home Portway with the club now moving to Birmingham and the Alexander Stadium.
Match Report
The Hurricanes blew Cornwall away in the opening 40 minutes to lead 30-0 at the mid-way point. However, Cornwall’s cause was not helped by Liam Whitton spending 10 minutes in the sin bin and the away side having, what appeared to be two tries chalked off
However, the Choughs were much improved in the second stanza and crossed the whitewash five times to claim scoreboard honours after the turnaround.
The game was overshadowed though by a serious arm injury suffered by Cornwall interchange Topher Chard inside the final 10 minutes.
