Injury Update – Adam Rusling

March 19, 2024

Cornwall’s Adam Rusling – Colin Bradbury

Cornwall RLFC scrum half Adam Rusling is now back in the Duchy and recovering after undergoing surgery in Yorkshire on Sunday.

Rusling suffered a serious gash to his leg in a purely accidental clash during the Choughs’ round 1 game at Keighley Cougars on Sunday.

The game was held up while Rusling was treated by our own physio Sam Wicketts, along with her Keighley counterpart and the Cougars’ club doctor.

After leaving the field of play, Rusling was taken to Airedale Hospital where he remained overnight and on Monday, had an operation to ‘clean’ his wound.

Thankfully, the former Hull Kingston Rovers and Castleford man has escaped serious injury and after needing 15 stitches, is now on the road to recovery.

Everyone at Cornwall RLFC would like to pass on their thanks to the Keighley medical staff for their assistance and the staff at Airedale Hospital too.
