Disciplinary: Match Review Panel

June 27, 2024

Cornwall RLFC forward Matt Ross has been charged with a Grade C Dangerous Contact offence by the Rugby Football League’s Match Review Panel (MRP).

The MRP, after reviewing an incident that was placed on report by referee Adam Williams in the game against Keighley Cougars, have ruled that Ross will serve a one-match suspension.

Under law 15.1 (i) dangerous contact is defined as such: Defender uses any part of their body forcefully to twist, bend or otherwise apply pressure to the limb or limbs of an opposing player in a way that involves an unacceptable risk of injury to that player.

Ross is available to play against North Wales Crusaders this coming Sunday, June 30.
