Cornwall Sign Jordan Bull on Loan
June 1, 2023
Cornwall RLFC have signed forward Jordan Bull on a two week loan from fellow Betfred League 1 side Hunslet.
The 23-year-old has made five appearances for the Parksiders this term after moving to the South Leeds Stadium from Midlands Hurricanes over the winter.
Bull appeared in both of the Hurricanes’ victories over the Choughs last year. He started the match at the Memorial Ground, Cornwall’s first ever on home soil, whilst appearing at interchange in the return fixture.
Starting his professional career with Championship side Sheffield Eagles, Bull has also had a loan spell at Doncaster and at Coventry Bears, before he joined the Midlands Hurricanes permanently, when they moved to Birmingham from Butts Park Arena.
Bull has also gained representative honours with England Universities and he recently captained the student out to the President’s Cup after defeating the UK Armed Forces.
“Jordan gives us some more options and strength in the pack during a challenging part of our season in terms of opposition,” head coach Mike Abbott told cornwallrlfc.co.uk.
“He was playing regularly for Hunslet until his commitments with England Students. Hunslet are playing well with depth in the pack so this move is beneficial for all parties.
“We look forward to seeing what Jordan can do in a Cornwall shirt, starting with this Sunday’s match against Workington.”
Meanwhile, the club can confirm that prop Paul Bolger has dual-registered for the University of Gloucester Old Boys side. The Irishman will feature for the West of England outfit as they play Swindon St George on Saturday.
