Cornwall Announce Squad For Lions Clash

May 19, 2022

Cornwall RLFC head coach Neil Kelly has named a 20-man squad to face Swinton Lions at Heywood Road on Saturday – 2.00pm.

For the round nine clash in Betfred League 1, the Choughs’ latest recruit Nathan Conroy goes straight into the matchday squad.

Hooker Luke Collins is also in contention to start his first match for Cornwall against the Lions after he landed on these shores earlier this week. Raised in Australia but born in England, Collins’s arrival in the Duchy had been delayed due to rugby union commitments.

Now these are over, his availability for selection comes as a welcome boost for Cornwall after in-form hooker Jake Lloys suffered a suspected dislocated elbow against West Wales Raiders last time out.

From the side that lost to the Raiders, joining Lloyd on the sidelines is Decarlo Trerise (knee) while Anthony Mullally is unavailable.

Bradford winger Will Adams keeps his place in the squad under the terms of a dual-registration agreement between Cornwall and the Bulls.
