Action from Cornwall RLFC and Penryn RFC’s joint training session

Cornwall RLFC and the club’s landlords Penryn RFC held a joint training session earlier this week.

Further demonstrating the strong bond between both clubs, the two teams were mixed together then split in half to take part in a series of rugby league based drills.

Under the guidance of Cornwall coach Mike Abbott and Borough chief Marek Churcher, the two sets of players took it in turns to work at attacking moves and defensive positioning.

The evening was then finished with a game of touch rugby. A play-the-ball was replaced by a rugby union ruck whilst the defending team was asked to do so back 10 metres.

After the session was over, all that took part and both sets of club officials enjoyed a barbecue and refreshments.
