Club Statement: Venue Change

Cornwall RLFC can advise a change of venue for Sunday’s Betfred League 1 home clash against North Wales Crusaders.
The match will now take place at Truro College instead of the Memorial Ground, Penryn. The game will also kick-off at 12.30pm instead of the previously advertised 3.00pm.
Owing to the recent poor weather and forecasted rainfall over the next two days, the Memorial Ground pitch is likely to be unplayable on Sunday.
With fixture fulfilment and competition integrity for Cornwall RLFC, North Wales Crusaders and the Rugby Football League (RFL) in mind, the club have made the decision to move this game to an alternate venue.
Truro College is 10 miles away from Penryn and due to its artificial surface, there is virtual certainty, bar an unprecedented circumstance out of the club’s control, that this game will go ahead.
All these factors have contributed to the club’s decision to proactively look for an alternative venue to ensure the game is played on its scheduled date, albeit with the game kicking off at a different time and at another suitable venue.
We thank Truro College, North Wales Crusaders and the RFL with their assistance and understanding. This is a unique circumstance, which has come about owing to the unprecedented amount of rainfall that has hit the Duchy in recent weeks.
Tickets
Owing to spectator facilities at Truro College, the club advises that capacity will be severely limited and the game has been designated all-ticket.
All Cornwall RLFC season ticket holders are guaranteed entry.
Any ticket holders that have purchase tickets in advance of this announcement, are also guaranteed entry.
A limited number of tickets will be sold through the ticketing section of the club’s official website.
No ticket sales will be available at Truro College on matchday.
Gates will open at 11.30am – one hour before kick-off.
Dogs are not permitted on Truro College grounds.

Parking
Parking is limited at the College site and will be available on a first come, first served basis.
However, Truro College is easily accessible by bus and is close to the Truro Park and Ride site.
