Cornwall RLFC can confirm that Sunday’s Betfred League 1 round 19 match against North Wales Crusaders will now take place at Tynewydd Fields, home of Rhyl Rugby Union Club.

Owing to pitch works at the Crusaders’ regular home base Eirias Parc, which have overrun, the Crusaders have only played twice in Colwyn Bay this term against Oldham in the league and in the Betfred Challenge Cup against the Royal Navy.

Crusaders have taken recent home matches in England at Chester RU but will move back across the border to Wales.

Cornwall club officials have been in regular contact with our North Wales counterparts over this matter in recent weeks. We thank North Wales for their openness and transparency regarding this matter.

We sympathise with this frustrating situation and hope that North Wales Crusaders can return to Eirias Parc and continue spreading the rugby league word outside its traditional heartland areas.
