Club Hold End of Season Awards Presentation
August 25, 2022
Cornwall RLFC held a successful end of season Awards Presentation at the Memorial Ground after the recent Betfred League 1 match against Oldham.
Josh Hartshorne led the way with two individual awards – Player of the Year (chosen by Cornwall RLFC staff) and Players’ Player of the Year.
Prop Hartshorne has been one of Cornwall’s stand out performers in 2022 after joining the club back in January from National Conference League outfit Thornhill Trojans.
The Supporters’ Player of the Year award went to full back Liam Whitton and after being presented with his award, announced to those in attendance that he had signed a contract with the Choughs for 2023.
There was also a special Clubman of the Year award which went to Sam Gilder. The hooker, currently sat on the sidelines due to a concussion injury suffered at Keighley, has helped fill various roles and non-playing tasks during the season.
The awards were then completed when Cornwall’s ball boys and girl were presented with signed memorabilia from Whitton, Harry Aaronson and Aaron Jones-Bishop.
