BBC to Stream Challenge Cup Draw

January 25, 2024

The draws for rounds three and four of the Betfred Challenge Cup will be streamed on BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website and app live from the DCBL Stadium, home of Widnes Vikings, on Monday, January 29 at 6.30pm.

Forty years on from Widnes’ 19-6 victory over Wigan at Wembley Stadium in 1984, host Tanya Arnold will be joined by three veterans of that triumph: David Hulme; Mike O’Neill; and Lance Todd Trophy winner Joe Lydon.

The Vikings, who ply their trade in the Betfred Championship, will join their fellow level two sides and those in Betfred League 1, which includes Cornwall RLFC, in the draw.

Twenty-two clubs in total will join the 10 winners of this weekend’s round two ties in the hat for round three, with the 16 ties taking place over the weekend of February 10/11.

Our partner club Wests Warriors host National Conference League side Rochdale Mayfield, who defeated the Choughs 20-14 in round three last season.
