Away Days – Dewsbury Rams

April 15, 2023

The FLAIR Stadium, home of Dewsbury Rams – SWPix

Cornwall RLFC are on the road for just the second time this season tomorrow with an away trip to Dewsbury Rams and the FLAIR Stadium.

The Ground

Dewsbury play home matches at Crown Flats or, for this season for sponsorship reasons, FLAIR Stadium.

The ground was opened in its present state in September 1994. The ground was rebuilt after fire destroyed the main grandstand in 1988. After three seasons playing with a temporary main stand, the club left Crown Flatts and temporarily moved to Mount Pleasant, the home of fierce local rivals Batley.

The ground has remained virtually unchanged since its re-opening, bar the Beaumont Terrace which was contrasted during 2015.

In the aborted 2020 campaign and subsequent 2021 season, fallen Championship side Bradford Bulls shared Dewsbury’s facilities before returning the Odsal last year.

Spectator Facilities

Only two sides of the FLAIR Stadium are open for spectators in 2023 and they are the all-seated North Stand and the Uncovered Beaumont Terrace.

Turnstiles and the Stadium’s bar and refreshment facilities open 60 minutes before kick-off.

Infants under the age of five, must be accompanied by an adult.

Refreshments are available from the Royal Suite, Bailey Bar and Bottle Bar.

The Royal Suite is open after games and after match entertainment takes places in this bar.

The FLAIR Stadium offers disabled access and ample viewing points om both sides of the Stadium.

Proof of disabled status may be requested. If a carer is required then one may be admitted free of charge.

The FLAIR Stadium is located on Owl Lane, Dewsbury, a short drive from the M1 and M62.

The postcode for sat-nav users is WF12 7RH

The stadium is also accessible from Dewsbury Bus Station, by boarding the 202 or 203 services, and located approximately two miles from Dewsbury Railway Station.
