Adam Rusling Joins Cornwall on Loan

New loan signing Adam Rusling – Hull Kingston Rovers

Hull Kingston Rovers’ talented teen half-back Adam Rusling has joined Cornwall RLFC on a two-week loan.

Despite his tender years, Rusling already has a Super League appearance under his belt for previous employers Castleford Tigers.

The 18-year-old progressed through the Tigers’ academy structure and made his top-flight bow under previous Cas chief Darrell Powell against Salford Red Devils in 2021.

Rusling caught the eye in a losing cause for Castleford but at the end of the previous campaign, was allowed to leave the Jungle and return to his hometown of Hull.

“He is one of those young kids that is going to have a lot of responsibility thrown at him as I think we have been missing a recognised half-back at times this season,” Choughs’ head coach Neil Kelly told cornwallrlfc.co.uk.

“Adam has played in Super League and that is a difficult level of football to break into. For him to play at that level and then secure a move to Hull Kingston Rovers from Castleford would lead me to say that Adam has a fantastic pedigree.

“During our conversation we had with him this week he’s keen to come down and meet his new teammates and get out on the training field.

“I see this as massive for us to have a player like Adam in our side and he will add another dimension.”
