Oldham

Oldham captain Jordan Turner – SWPix/Matthew Merrick

Ground: Boundary Park (13,186)
Coach: Sean Long
Captain: Jordan Turner
Season 2023 Finish: 4th League 1 (play-off semi finals)

Oldham are very much the bookmakers favourites to return back to the second tier after a three year absence.

The Roughyeds are very much a club on the up with a consortium including former Watersheddings favourite Mike Ford taking control of the club last year.

Before the year was out, a return back to Boundary Park was announced and over the close season, a number of high profile recruits have arrived.

They include St Helens and Great Britain scrum-half Sean Long as head coach as permanent replacement to Stuart Littler – Ford held the reins for the final weeks of 2023.

On the pitch, stars with significant Super League experience in the shape of newly appointed captain Jordan Turner, Joe Wardle and Craig Kopczack have made the move to Boundary Park.

The only question, perhaps, is who can stop the Oldham juggernaut?
